After Overkill, Concepts and SneakerFreaker, we present you today a first look at the upcoming collaboration between hanon and New Balance, entitled “The Bionic Project”. The Bionic Project is a 3-way collaboration comprising of two archive New Balance styles that incorporate a performance textile by Eschler of Switzerland. hanon had the opportunity to go to the New Balance Flimby factory in the UK to check out the production process of the sneakers.

DJ AM x Nike Dunk High Premium

Although there was some uncertainty regarding an actual release of his project with Nike, DJ AM’s Dunk Hi is now seen in its entirety, although unfortunately it comes after the famed DJ’s tragic and untimely passing. The shoes themselves remain quite simple, playing off a theme of patent leather and premium leather along with 3M perforated heel detailing amongst a black/red/grey color scheme. Rounding off the design is a tribute DJ AM logo placed on the tongue. Rumors have it that there should be another sneaker from the set due to drop although no further information has been released. For those interested, they are now available through Korean retailer Kasina, with a US release sure to come.

The latest from visvim’s footwear releases includes a new set of the esteemed Japanese brand’s Gridwood Moc Toe-Folk Boots, offered in four different colorways, including Light Brown, Dark Brown, Black, and Sand. A continuation of adidas Originals’ Five-Two 3 campaign, the brand now offers a peek into a contribution from Tokyo, designed by Hectic’s main man, YOPPI. The set consists of a Samba sneaker and matching t-shirt, both taking inspiration from Tokyo culture. Retail for the sneakers is set at ¥13,650 (Approx. $157 USD) while the tee is priced at ¥6,195 (Approx. $71 USD). Nike Sportswear Air Max 1 Athletic West Baroque Brown

Another drop out of the Nike Sportswear East/West pack comes this Air Max 1. The shoe features a suede upper with a now standard mesh toebox (remember when it wasn’t on retros). The beef and broccoli colorway also includes a West tag on the heel as well as a beaver on the insole as a tribute to Nike’s HQ in Beaverton, Oregon. Available now at Kix-Files.

After showing you the white/purple and the white/green colorways of the Patta x Air Max 1 Premium QS, we can confirm today that there will actually be a 3rd colorway in the line-up. This one comes in a navy/purple colorway with green Swoosh and some further red accents. The navy on the sneaker looks to be denim once again, just like on the other two. The sneaker is set to release on 28th of November at Patta Amsterdam and later at other Quickstrike Retailers worldwide.

All over the world, you can find people with a serious passion for kicks and thanks to the new documentary, Open The Box, we get an inside look at what’s going on with the sneaker scene in Germany. The film features interviews with a variety of accomplished German collectors and of course takes a nice look at some of the treasures that they’ve accumulated over the years, including some seriously vintage heat. Unfortunately, the interviews are in German, but luckily, the sneaker images are a universal language that anyone can appreciate. DECKSTAR x eBay x UNDEFEATED - DJ AM Charity Sneaker Auction Event | Ongoing Now

As mentioned previously, in the memory of DJ AM, who unexpectedly passed away this Summer, online auctioneer eBay, DECKSTAR, and UNDFTD are hosting a special sneaker auction event to help raise money for DJ AM Memorial Fund, a foundation setup to assist those struggling through dependency and addiction. On the docket is DJ AM’s personal sneaker collection, a 10-year venture now numbered around 900+ pairs, with numerous rare and highly sought after editions.

The auction kicked off at 4:30 pm PST (7:30 pm EST) on a specially arranged eBay auction page. An initial 37 pairs are offer in this first round, including a pair of Air Yeezy by Nike Sportswear and Kanye West, What The Dunk, Air Force 180 UNION, and a pair of P-Rod 2 signed by Stash for DJ AM. Each pair will be listed for 7 days and since it would be impossible to list all, new editions will be added onto the listing on a regular basis.
