UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon Navy

In a third release, UNDFTD and Converse join forces to serve up a navy version of their popular Poorman Weapon. The previous two iterations included black/orange and olive/orange Overall, the sneaker’s shape and design remains largely intact except for the use of navy blue nylon with the ability to remove and affix Velcro patches and logos. This time around, the sneaker comes packaged with an MA-1 Flight Jacket and a Flight Helmet Bag. A release is slated for January 29th, 2010. Denim label Edwin worked with ‘old friends’ Folk (and their footwear label Shofolk) on a number of great pieces for the season.

The EF-62 Denim sees Folk take advantage of the Edwin denim archives to create their own regular fitting, straight leg jean from organic, lightweight denim, adding some distinctly ‘Folk’ design features.

On the footwear side, we see Shofolk’s classic Armstrong boot and Alaric shoe incorporate Edwin detailing and branding (Edwin denim heel detail and logo tab) to give a distinctive and original look. Edwin x Pendleton Woolen Mills Shirt

Following their successful collaboration with Folk, denim brand EDWIN are at it once again. This time they have linked together with Oregon based mills PENDLETON to create a shirt featuring Pendleton Wool in an exclusive colour way, lined with Kaihara denim detailing. A little info on the Kaihara mills: Established in 1951 with 34 machines, by 1970 the Kaihara mill had developed indigo rope dying machines and started a delivery of rope dyed denim in Japan. By the early 90s the mill introduced ring yarn spinning and vintage production by narrow width shuttle machines. Kaihara is renowned for the sanforised selvedge it’s produced for decades. The Edwin x Pendleton Woolen Mills shirt is a special project with limited run of 300 pieces, available at retail in July.

With the frenzied release of the “Space Jam” edition of the Air Jordan XI (11), sneaker fans were reminded of the influence of that sneaker. In celebrating the 25 year anniversary of the Jordan franchise, two silver anniversary editions of the entire Jordan line were released–one in all white, and another in white and red. The all-white models were exceptional in their ability to showcase the true, “naked” silhouettes of the models, and the storied Air Jordan XI (11) was again a standout model in that collection. While bearing some resemblance to the “Columbia” edition of the Air Jordan XI (11), this model strips away the hints of blue and adds tumbled leather to the heel, along with a zig-zag pattern behind the “23″ logo. Now marqueesole has a limited availablity of this highly sought-after model in sizes 9, 9.5, and 10, so hurry if you want a pair of these sneakers, because they won’t stick around long.

Star Wars x adidas Originals - Taipei Launch | Event Recap

Yesterday on an otherwise tranquil winter evening in Taipei, the galactic troops invaded the trendy east district and brought the most fearsome dominator and his faithful Stormtrooper minions to the adidas Originals concept store, culminating in the awaited finale of the Taipei adidas Originals x Star Wars campaign. The agenda of this deliberate infiltration mission of course, is the launch of one of the most spectacular collaborations of the year between adidas Originals and George Lucas’ multimillion Sci-Fi enterprise, Star Wars.

The launch was held on Jan 8, in a post-rain Taipei at the Dunhua adidas Originals store, appropriately suited up and transformed into a galactic battleship. Darth Vader and his devoted followers stood at the front of the store, effectively ushering crowds into the launch with a domineering presence. Aside from first releasing the collaborative products for sale, with items all are far too familiar with since the teaser images and official look book images were released at the end of 2009– think the boat shoes like ZX700 Boat Yoda, ZX8000 Darth Vader, S.W. Luke Skywalker, Micropacer Famous Scene, and adidas Originals classics FIVE-TWO 3 pack (Samba X-Wing, Superstar Vin, Stan Smith Millenium Falcon, Forum Mid AT-AT and Nizza Hi TIE Fighter) inspired by the film, adidas Originals has also enlisted the help of Hong Kong artist, Dorothy Tang to create a series of posters based on the original Star Wars film promotional posters. Dorothy Tang’s work fuses both elements of Star Wars with her personal creation, Shopping Baby, as the Shopping Baby is configured into various Star Wars characters. Her posters are exhibited within the store from Jan 8 all the way through to Feb. 28 for the public to enjoy. Taking a turn from art and back to shopping, limited edition Darth Vader and Stormtrooper vinyl toys are available as gifts with purchase from now till the end of January, so those in Taipei looking to cop some fresh Star Wars gear (whether you are on the side of Imperial forces or the Rebels), check out the exhibition and browse through the extensive adidas Originals x Star Wars collection, grab some new items and a Darth Vader as a motivational item for your desk.

Nike - HTM 2 | Preview

Dubbed one of history’s greatest threesomes by Complex, the HTM line from Nike is back. HTM for those of you who are scratching your heads is made up of three of today’s most influential and recognized figureheads. H, is for Hiroshi Fujiwara whose fragment design has become synonomous with high quality collaboration products ranging from denim to sneakers. T, represents Tinker Hatfield, the man behind a number of classic Nike sneakers as well as the majority of the Air Jordan signature line. And lastly, M, is for Mark Parker, longtime Nike employee-turned-CEO.

In addition to the Footscape Free Motion, Hiroshi previewed this entirely new Nike HTM 2 during the Greater China Media Summit, which from what Hiroshi says, is still a working name. The HTM 2 will be the first of many new shoes released under the Nike HTM line in the coming months. HF gave us a look at his colorway of this futuristic looking sneaker that features Nike Free 7.0 along with a no-lace upper. The Nike HTM 2 is scheduled for a tentative release later this year in a few different colorways including one done by Mark Parker and another by Tinker Hatfield.

Nike Air Maxim ‘Torch’ Spring 2010 Preview

Prima facie, these appear to be the an instant revival for the recently ended Livestrong x Nike series, however this is not so, you’re actually looking at the Nike Air Maxim ‘Torch’. The Torch has been floating around the net since back in August, here we can finally see exactly what the shoe will look like. As a Maxim model, the shoes feature fly-wire side panelling and a slightly altered shape, particularly in the toe region to that of the Max 1. What’s distinct about this model, apart from it’s yellow swoosh and tongue (which gives the shoe its nickname), is the mesh on the toebox – under the surface lies a secondary grid, presumably making this model more durable than other Maxims. The Torch is currently scheduled to release in Spring 2010.

In preparation for a summer of football, the Nike Sportswear footwear design team joined forces with Nike Football to explore the needs of some of the world’s greatest footballers when they leave the field of play. Focused on solving the needs of the athletes, the result is a technical solution called Torch.

At Nike, innovation is a process of creating new spaces in which to address athletes’ needs and improve their performance. When considering how Nike Sportswear could enhance the post-match experience for athletes, the footwear design team adopted a cut-the-weight, lose-the-bulk mindset gleaned from performance football boot design to arrive at a new technical innovation—Torch. . Torch is a lightweight, moisture-managing, supremely comfortable three-layer textile. The outer layer features a visually stunning, protective diamond pattern that holds its shape and won’t crease at stress points like traditional materials. The middle layer offers a lightweight structural element that stands up to a post-match cool-down or an active day around town. The inner layer provides moisture-managing breathability to keep the foot cool and allow for a period of rest after a game.

Torch has also been integrated into several classic Nike silhouettes for Spring/Summer 2010. The Air Max BW Gen II, Air Force 1 and Air Maxim 1 all get the Torch treatment, as well as technical enhancements such as welded uppers and natural motion soles. The Air Max BW Gen II was originally introduced in 1991 and has been a cult favorite of runners and sneakerheads ever since.

What may not be apparent upon first view of the Air Max BW Gen II is the Nike Considered design principle of its construction. Based on the idea of modularity, the Torch Air Max has been developed so that numerous mid-sole models from the Air Max family can easily be integrated into the production line, eliminating waste and inefficiency.

After showing you yesterday the video of the production of the Hanon x Eschler x New Balance “Bionic Project”, we can finally show you the outcome of the collaboration – a pack of New Balance 576’s.

For this latest release they looked to explore the possibilities of connecting a performance fabric to an icon from the New Balance archive. This project sees the classic M576 running shoe reworked with Ceramic E3+, an innovative material developed by Eschler.

“Ceramic printing”, a special innovation by Christian Eschler AG of Bühler/CH, is a polyurethane-based coating embedded with diamond-hard ceramic particles. This particularly environmentally friendly innovation is completely free of solvents. Furthermore, the ceramic particles remain permanently embedded in the polyurethane. The main characteristics of the fabric are significantly higher wear and abrasion resistance than regular fabrics

The Bionic Project comprises of two M576 styles. Each model has a fully customized upper with featured detail that is unique to this release. Both have been manufactured at the world famous New balance Flimby factory and constructed with premium material sourced from across the globe. Further auctions will include signed “Glow In the Dark” books, “Thank You” books and T-shirts. 100% of the proceeds raised will go to the Kanye West Foundation, a charity helping combat the severe dropout problem in schools across the US. KarmaSwap itself will feature two distinct sections: KarmaSwap Resellers, where individual sellers can re-sell items such as sneakers and used clothing, and KarmaSwap Stores, where underground brands and designers can sell their original creations.

After showing you the white/purple and the white/green colorways of the Patta x Air Max 1 Premium QS, we can confirm today that there will actually be a 3rd colorway in the line-up. This one comes in a navy/purple colorway with green Swoosh and some further red accents. The navy on the sneaker looks to be denim once again, just like on the other two. The sneaker is set to release on 28th of November at Patta Amsterdam and later at other Quickstrike Retailers worldwide.
