CROOKED TONGUES - Win free sneakers every week for a year

This is our biggest competition to date. To some, a year's sneakers would be, maybe ten pairs. Even that would be deemed excessive in some quarters. But that's not our style. Our definition of a year's kicks? A pair a week. In a week, you can dog a pair, before moving onto the next one. Or you can circulate them as part of a routine where they get one wear a week, fortnight or month. That's how we roll, and we'd like to share that faintly obsessive-compulsive approach to footwear with you.

We're offering one lucky individual a pair of shoes, of their choice, from the Crooked Tongues Store every week for a year. For the less mathematically inclined, that's 52 pairs. Horde nothing but runners or stack a mix of hi-tops, suede classics and technical pieces - it's up to you.

From today all the way up to up to Christmas Eve, fill in our quick site questionnaire located at WWW.CROOKEDTONGUES.COM/FREESHOES and you're in the running to win a prize that just keeps on giving. We'll randomly pick the fortunate individual who's going to be dipped for the duration of the new year at the beginning of January. Go get involved and good luck...

After several teasers we can finally give you a detailed look at the Nike Sportswear Air Pegasus ‘89 “Berlin”. The running sneaker celebrates 20 years of Berlin youth culture.

The city of Berlin, the event and elements of the occasion are all reflected in the sneaker. The Air Pegasus ‘89 “Berlin” comes with a black/grey/purple upper, using premium leather, suede and mesh. Contrasting purple stitching is setting some nice accents on the upper, along with the stylized concrete Swoosh. “Berlin 89″ is stitched onto the heel, and is also communicated with the inner sole and the lace-locks. Air Jordan XI Space Jam – Detailed Photos

It’s been just under nine years since yours truly nearly died in an icey storm on my way to cop the first run of this legendary sneaker. In all seriousness, the trip was a bit longer than normal because the weather cleared the mall parking lot, but it sorta ‘paved’ the way for me to cop them after school; I got the second to last pair in the store. Even recalling that story for you now makes me a little anxious, so it’s totally reasonable that some of you who absolutely needed these already secured them.

The Air Jordan XI (11) Retro ‘Space Jam’ is still set for a late December drop, but you can already get yours with the full packaging, shoe trees and all from Osneaker, plus get $5 off when you use the code “sneakernews” (no quotes) at checkout. Whether you buy them today or not, be sure to click the jump below for some really well lit photos that show you exactly what to expect from your pair, and check out some much bigger shots as the first of our new series of Sneaker Wallpapers.

A toe capped sample version drew comparisons to the immortal Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, but the Huf x Nike SB Blazer Mid Premiums in white or black dropped the rubber toe in favour of an entirely textile upper. Nike x ACRONYM Dunk High AC & Blazer

Nike worked with reknowned apparel design agency, ACRONYM® on two pairs of all Black sneakers, one being the Nike Dunk High AC (Autoclave) and the other the Nike Blazer. Both shoes are supposedly extremely limted as they were promo pairs that were given to Errolson Hugh, co-founder of ACRONYM®. The Dunk High AC features an ACRONYM® graphic on the tongue of the shoe while the Blazer uses the graphic on the heel. via SLAMXHYPE
