People were taking shots at the Gucci Nike Sportswear Dunk High designed by DJ Clark Kent once images first hit the web. Most people said they would rather have the Gucci SB Dunk High, and some were a bit confused as to why Nike was dropping two Gucci inspired Dunks. However, once the Gucci Nike Dunk Hi Supreme Spark hit stores people were able to see the quality, and started to appreciate them. Some are still convinced that the Gucci SB Dunks is better.

With that said, TSG’s own, ATL Dunk Junkie put together a Gucci Dunk High comparison. This is perfect timing since the Gucci “RESN” SB Dunks just released. Check out the video as ATL Dunk Junkie provides a detailed look at both Gucci Dunks. At the end of the day, it’s all about what YOU like.

New Balance 577 for 2010

Even though it's "only" 20 years old (just consider how old some of its Flimby-made contemporaries are) the 577 feels like the elder statesman of New Balance's heritage artillery with its distinguished looks and arched, stealthy silhouette that takes well to premium materials and classy colour schemes. That's not to say we haven't seen the shoe given some wacky makeups - putting say, a Safari theme, or extrovert colours on this model is like putting sunglasses on an aged Airedale Terrier; novel, but kind of unnecessary. Unless it's UK-made, generally we don't mess with the 577. Some versions spotted in the States in sport shop chains just felt fake. We'd like to see the Mossad military-issue versions put out again, complete with Hebrew box lettering, but you can be assured that the 577NG (navy/grey) and 577CB (charcoal/black) will still be readily available in the new year. The 577CBG makeup had a palette akin to the white/red/brown versions (577WRB) but the white/green/brown 577WGB version however, feels fresh.
Both drop in March 2010.

visvim BEARD BOOTS-FOLK

visvim’s boot offerings have become one of the brand’s most sought after footwear offerings the last few releases. Arguably displacing the fabled FBT as the object of affection, the BEARD BOOTS-FOLK model surely reinforces this claim. The suede upper of the boots feature small little details which include a carbon fiber heel counter and contrasting blue ventilation holes on the medial side. Available at select Visvim retailers including Anytime.

KangaROOS x Sneakerness

Some of you might remember the KangaROOS sneaker brand from your childhood. The brand kind of disappeared in the mid 90s, but now the sneaker exhibition Sneakerness got together with them to work on the Slam Dunk and the Game high top sneakers. The sneakers come in white and black, carrying both Sneakerness and KangaROOS branding and of course the infamous kangaroo logo on the side. For now it is not clear when and where the sneakers will release, but we will keep you posted. The sneakers are limited to 80 pairs and should be dropping in the near future.

Official Rosa Acosta x Supreme Video (NSFW)

Jake Davis put us onto the official cut for the highly-talked about Rosa Acosta and Supreme video. The video took place during Acosta’s photoshoot involving none other than Terry Richardson for this season’s campaign. There’s no actual nudity, but I guess it’s still worthy of the NSFW tag.
